Now that we are approaching the season for giving
thanks, I would like to give thanks to all of my wonderful parents
who have helped with field trips, donating supplies, reading us
stories, making play dough, washing sheets and most importantly
given me the opportunity to work with your beautiful children. Our
“Rising Suns” have bonded well and are beginning to form a family. I
am amazed at how well they have all adjusted and continue to grow as
loving and confident little people. You should give yourselves a big
hug and be proud of yourselves for being such fabulous parents.
Throughout the month of November, we will focus our attention on
nighttime and nighttime animals, turkeys, pilgrims and Native
Americans, the first Thanksgiving, and giving thanks.
Below you will find a list of items needed for crafts as well as a
list of upcoming events.
Items needed by Friday November 9, 2007:
one plain white pillowcase
one coffee can or oatmeal can (any size)
Upcoming events:
Tuesday November 6, 2007- Conference Day
at your scheduled time listed below, you and your child will meet
with me for about 15-20 minutes to talk about the first few months
of school.

Saturday November 17, 2007- Barnes and Noble
(Valley View Mall) Book fair
at 11:00am, our class along with Tulie/Sarah and Ruth Ann/Katlyn
classes will perform songs with our music teacher Kim at Barnes and
Noble (Valley View Mall ) inside the children's area
Wednesday November 21, 2007- Thanksgiving
luncheon at Hollins University's Moody Center
this is our annual luncheon for the entire school to meet and have a
Thanksgiving lunch together
our class will walk over to Moody center by 11:00am to meet up with
our parents, so you and your child will be able to view their art
work before sitting down for lunch
Thursday November 22-Friday November 23, 2007-
No school
