Love is in the air! In the month of February, we will focus on keeping our hearts healthy and filled with love. We will make handmade valentine cards for our friends and deliver them during our Valentine's day party next Thursday. Thanks again to all my wonderful parents who are helping with the party.

We will also explore different ways to keep our heart healthy. We will prepare and enjoy healthy snacks and learn different movements to keep our heart beating strong.

In Math we will focus on the unit of shapes.

Please take a look below for upcoming events and activities this month:
 

Valentine's Day Party:

  • we will create and make our own valentines in class to be handed out to all of our friends

  • our party will be at 11:00am- 11:45am, Thursday February 14, 2008

  • Michele (David's mom) will contact all of the parents who have signed up to help


 

Our love mission:

  • I would like everyone at home to begin their own love chain

  • the rising suns have begun a love chain at school

  • each morning we gather at circle and write down our love thoughts

  • example: (Your name) is sending love out to (person's or animal's name)

  • then we attach our love notes to make a chain

  • I challenge all my families to sit down together once a day to write down their loving thoughts and attached them to a love chain. At the end of the month, I will ask everyone to bring in their love chains from home for show and share. Happy love spreading!!
