The C.S. middle school students in the POP group (People of Peace) collected 978 pounds of pet food and raised $170 cash that was donated to the Roanoke Valley SPCA last Friday. Thank you to everyone who supported this service project.
The deadline for mailing 2008-09 financial aid applications to SSS is

any questions about tuition assistance, please contact Michi.
Welcome to Robert and his parents Edward and Jacqueline. Robert
is a homeschool student who will be taking drama classes with the Seminar
students.
Congratulations to the families, staff and students of Community High School on the success of their Fat Tuesday Celebration. The event raised $10,120 for CHS. Thank you to all the C.S. families who supported this CHS event.
Because too many students are not bringing balanced
lunches to school and are instead relying on the pasta that was meant for
emergencies, the middle school will no longer provide the noodle soup or
macaroni and cheese for students. Students need to bring their own lunches to
school each day. The only exceptions are for paid Lunch-A-Month and pizza
days.
In order to maintain a safe and efficient dismissal,
please remember the following:
Please refrain from using cell phones while you are driving in the C.S.
parking lot.
If you intend to walk up to retrieve your child, if you
need to talk with a staff member, or if you need to install booster seats,
please park your car in the parking lot and walk up to the
main campus.
By now I hope everyone has had the opportunity to visit our newly
redesigned website. One new feature I hope you’ll take a moment to explore is
the link under “Giving” for Click and Pledge. Click and Pledge is a local
organization that helps manage the online payment needs of nonprofit
organizations.
