Giving to Community School

Capital Campaign

Community School began its first Building Initiative in 2003 and was thrilled to complete its first new building (Phase I) in the Spring of 2007. The 10-unit classroom building allowed us to unify our campus and set us firmly on the path to enhancing our beautiful campus. While we are enjoying the benefits of this building initiative every day, Community School is still accepting tax-deductible donations to pay down debt and loans associated with Phase I. Phase II will create a Community Center that will house auditorium and meeting space, a commercial-grade kitchen, and room for art exhibits, indoor recreation, and other displays of student work.

If you would like more information about Community School’s building projects, please contact Holly Hirst, Director, at 540-563-5036 or by email.

If you would like to make a gift to support building at Community School, please contact Carissa South, Director of Development and Marketing.

Bricks, Boxwoods, Benches

Celebrate Community School by purchasing a commemorative brick, bench, or a planting. The engraved bricks will be set in the walkways leading to the new classroom building, and the engraved benches and plantings will be placed throughout campus as a lasting tribute.

Purchase an item in honor of a child or in memory of friends and loved ones. Acknowledge special occasions such as a birth, anniversary, or graduation, or share words of wisdom. For Seminar parents, this commemorative opportunity would be a wonderful way to pay tribute to your child as they end their time at Community School. Alumni could recognize the special place Community School holds in their life, or thank that special teacher.
