Kim Halsey has been at Community School
since 2006. She received her B.A. in History and
Political Science from Rutgers University, Douglass College.
She received her M.Ed. in Multicultural Education from Eastern
University. She is also certified as a Reading Specialist.
She previously worked in the Philadelphia School District as a
middle school teacher. She has also worked with Cornerstone
Consultants, a company that assists in facilitating and
organizing local and national poverty symposiums, reports on the
work of the New Jersey State Folk Arts Council, compiles the
results of the Ford Foundation’s community-based forestry
project, and prepares curriculum for cultural institutions. Kim
has two children at Community School.
