Blue Ridge Business Journal featured CS alumnus Jonathan M. in the September 20 issue as a member of their “2010 20 Under 40” list. According to BRBJ, these young professionals are our region’s most promising and accomplished young business leaders. At age 26, Jonathan is the manager of 2nd Helpings Café, a division of the Roanoke Rescue Mission, the interim minister of music at a local church, and the former owner of McGraw Fine Art. This is not his first appearance in BRBJ; he was featured in 2006 for his work as a benefactor to local artist Eddie Maxwell. Jonathan attended CS for elementary and middle school (Seminar class of 1997). It’s worth noting that both Jonathan and Megan M., the CS alumna featured in the 2008 BRBJ list, are only in their mid twenties—much younger than almost every other emerging leader listed.
