To Copy or Not To Copy - That's the Question

Here is a good idea from Merle at www.sodamail.com
"Tables seem to take the brunt of gluing projects! Here's an idea!
Glue a large sheet of colored construction paper onto an even larger sheet of white mural or easel paper. You can write "Glue Mat" at the top. Laminate these sheets and place on a shelf to be used for messy art projects!"

Note from Lelia: I think this is especially cool because you could just roll it up if you need a quick clean-up and wash it at the end of the day.

Digital Edge Learning Interchange (thanks to Betsy for this link) - The Digital Edge project is an initiative of NBPTS, the International Society for Technology in Education, Apple, and the AT&T Foundation.  The project uses the expertise of National Board Certified Teachers (NBCTs). The project addresses technology's role in the classroom and the role of NBCTs as models for pre-service and practicing teachers. This innovative Web site features NBCTs in videos of exemplary teaching examples with an emphasis on technology integration.
The lessons and other materials, called "exhibits," focus on using technology with students in a wide range of subject areas. The 58 exhibits contain an introduction, lesson plan, video clips, student work samples, assessment tools, resources, research, and teacher and student reflection. Each exhibit includes correlation to the NBPTS standards, ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) standards, and state/local content standards.

The content on the Digital Edge Web site can be used in many ways to help teachers. Currently, four partnering universities are incorporating the exhibits into their teacher preparation programs.
