Preschool

Preschool (Ages 3-5)

Young children thrive in our small classes of 6-9 students where teachers focus on individual needs and development. Our inclusive school community creates a nurturing learning environment where staff, parents and students model respect and an ethic of care. Exciting, hands-on activities and frequent outdoor play will build your child’s knowledge in all developmental areas: physical, social, emotional and intellectual. Our preschool program has been meeting the needs of young children in the Roanoke Valley for almost 50 years.

  • Flexible enrollment options: 2 mornings to 5 full days a week
  • Child-centered, developmentally-appropriate, multi-age classes
  • Outdoor play 2 to 4 times daily
  • Art, music, drama, Spanish and mindfulness
  • Early literacy, math and science activities geared to your child’s   developmental readiness
  • Daily interactions with elementary and middle school students plus a weekly buddy/mentor program
  • Learning activities focused on strengthening social skills, developing large and fine motor skills, and providing opportunities for creative exploration and expression
