Over 50 years ago, our founding families worked together to establish a challenging, experiential, and cooperative educational experience. From 1971 through today, our community’s generosity has sustained our mission and vision. Like all independent schools, our tuition alone doesn’t cover the full cost of a child’s education. Your support bridges the gap, continuing the legacy of Community School’s unique experiences for current and future generations.

Annual Fund
Annual Fund sustains our day-to-day operations. It provides enrichment classes, supports our dedicated teachers, enables exciting field trips, and upholds cherished traditions like the Fall Festival. Your contribution to the Annual Fund helps us create the everyday experiences that make Community School unique, from Fall Festival through singing “The Circle Game” at Celebration.

How can I give to the Annual Fund?
Donations can be made in cash, check or secure online donation. You can make it a one time gift or a reoccurring donation. For information about stock transfers, planned giving and tax-deductible scholarship gifts, please see our Ways to Give page.

When should I give to the Annual Fund?
You may make a gift or a pledge at any time, but we ask that you do so before July 31, the end of the school’s fiscal year.
How much should I give?
We ask that you support the Annual Fund to the best of your ability. Participation is important. High participation is a vote of confidence in our school and can have an impact on gifts from outside sources. Most foundations consider family participation rates before agreeing to donate to a school.
Can I get a matching gift from my employer?
Many organizations have a philanthropic matching gift program. Please ask your employer if they will match a charitable donation to Community School.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Yes! Community School is a 501(c)(3) educational organization.
