Community School Middle School has started a student council this year, focused on improving the campus and organizing student events. The student council delivered a successful bake sale on December 10, 2025. In one of their first big events, the student council held the most successful bake sale in recent Community School history.

The middle school students welcomed preschool to elementary students to buy baked goods in our new building’s lobby. Middle school students enjoyed being able to connect with the younger kids at the bake sale. Maggie, a third-year middle schooler, said, “I enjoyed spending quality time with my friends and the elementary students.”

They raised $850 in this amazingly memorable bake sale by selling everything from cookies to muffins. Students have dedicated their time to this project to ensure a great time at a later winter dance. Freya commented, “It was fun having a little business to run and participating in student council.” A big thank you to the families that helped make baked goods and to Jessica for guiding our students through this process.
