1) Congratulations to Sarah C. who recently graduated as co-valedictorian from Roanoke College. Sarah, who was earlier accepted to medical school at The University of Virginia, has elected to attend The University of Pittsburgh medical school this fall. Sarah is a 2007 graduate of Community High and attended Community School for five years in elementary and middle school.
2) Congratulations to Ruby B. (Seminar class of 2003) who recently graduated from Duke University. She will be attending The University of Wisconsin-Madison in the fall with a fellowship to study speech language pathology and plans to apply to enter their Ph.D. program the following year. Ruby is spending five weeks in Spain this summer to brush up on her Spanish. Her younger brother, William B., is a rising senior at the University of Alabama studying international relations/public policy and was on the Dean’s List this past semester. He is spending the summer in Greece studying philosophy. William attended CS for three years in elementary and middle school before the family moved to Atlanta.
3) Congratulations to Rain Y. (Seminar class of 2003) who was recently featured in The Free-Lance Star (May 1) for her work as a Spanish language interpreter with the Fredericksburg police department. Rain is a senior at The University of Mary Washington and spent two years studying in Madrid, Spain. She attended Community School from preschool through middle school and graduated from Community High in 2007.
