Houston Johnson, (Seminar ’96; ESP ’00) is on the history faculty at Virginia Military Institute and has recently been promoted to full professor. In addition, beginning July 1, 2020 he will become the Head of the History department at VMI. He also authored the book, Taking Flight – The Foundations of American Commercial Aviation, 1919-1938. He and his wife, Kachina, live in Lexington with their 5-year-old son McMillan.
Paige Johnson (Seminar ‘99) holds the position of Outreach and Engagement Manager at the American Wind Wildlife Institute (awwi.org) in Washington, DC. She and her black cat, Vincent Price, enjoy being closer to family after stints at Oxford University in England and living in Los Angeles for many years.
